An arena-clearing brawl forced the suspension of Friday's Carter-Kimball boys basketball game in South Dallas.

Play was suspended with 5:04 remaining in the fourth quarter when fights broke out in the concourse of Ellis Davis Field House. Play was stopped as Dallas SWAT and operation disruption units, along with Dallas ISD security, tried to contain the situation.

"The fight started inside, and it got bigger and bigger and went outside," Dallas police Sgt. Gil Cerda said. "It got pretty big and out of control."
